Students must select units worth 40 credits from one of the following three subject pathways in addition to taking SC22002 (Natural Sciences portfolio 2) and SL22016 (Protein structure and analysis) which are compulsory regardless of which pathway is chosen:
Biochemistry and Chemistry pathway- Compulsory unit: CH22008 Fundamental concepts of Chemistry (20 credits);
- 10 or 20 credits from the lists of Biochemistry options;
- Students choosing 10 credits of biochemistry options may take 10 credits from the other lists of options (NB. students taking units running in S1 and S2 must take both units in the same subject area - e.g. two Pharmacology units, two Mathematical Sciences units, or two Management units).
Biochemistry and Environment pathway- Compulsory unit: SC22003 Environmental science and sustainability (10 credits);
- 10 or 20 credits from the lists of Biochemistry options;
- 10 or 20 credits the other lists of options (NB. students taking units running in S1 and S2 must take both units in the same subject area - e.g. two Mathematical Sciences units, or two Management units).
Chemistry and Environment pathway- Compulsory units: CH22008 Fundamental concepts of Chemistry (20 credits) and SC22002 Environmental science and sustainability (10 credits);
- 10 credits from the other lists of options (NB. students taking units running in S1 and S2 must take both units in the same subject area - e.g. two Mathematical Sciences units, or two Management units).
