Year 2

Students must select units worth 50 credits from one of the following three subject pathways in addition to taking SC22002 (Natural Sciences portfolio 2) which is compulsory regardless of which pathway is chosen:

Biology and Physics
  • Compulsory units: PH22006 (Foundations of Physics 2) and PH22010 (Mathematics for Physics 2);
  • 20 credits from the lists of Biology options (NB. SL22043 (Modern methods in biology) and SL22040 (Field course) may NOT be taken together);
Biology and Environment
  • Compulsory unit: SC22003 (Environmental science and sustainability);
  • 20 or 30 credits from the lists of Biology options (NB. SL22043 (Modern methods in biology) and SL22040 (Field course) may NOT be taken together);
  • 10 or 20 credits from the combination of Physics and Management options.
Physics and Environment
  • Compulsory units: PH22006 (Foundations of physics 2), PH22010 (Mathematics for physics 2), and SC22003 (Environmental science and sustainability);
  • 10 credits from the lists of Biology options (NB. SL22043 (Modern methods in biology) and SL22040 (Field course) may NOT be taken together).
