Who to contact if someone is contemplating suicide

Information for staff and students about the help and support available if you, or someone you know, is contemplating suicide.

Factsheet

If you or someone you know is experiencing suicidal thoughts, help and support is always available at the University. These thoughts might range from wishing you weren’t here anymore or thinking others would be better off without you, to making plans to end your life. This can be scary, overwhelming, and hard to talk about, but whatever you’re going through, you are not alone.

If you need to talk to somebody urgently about the wellbeing of a colleague, friend, or student, or have concerns about your own wellbeing, call the wellbeing support helplines which are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
