You should have a bachelor’s honours degree or international equivalent, typically a 2:1 or above.
To apply for this course you should have an undergraduate degree in psychology or related discipline.
Applicants should provide a short research proposal with their application. The proposal helps the admissions tutor to assess the area of research that interests you and match your application with a potential supervisor. It won't be binding, and can be changed if your application is successful.
The proposal should not be more than 4 pages in length and include the following information:
a brief description of your proposed project, the objectives and methods of investigation,
the historical background to the project,
how it will contribute to the field (i.e. who will benefit from this research; how will they benefit; what will be done to ensure that they have the opportunity to benefit),
the names of at least two supervisors who you think may be interested in your application with a brief description of how your research interests match theirs. Also tell us if you have already been in contact with them,
how your undergraduate qualifications, postgraduate qualifications and work experience have prepared you for the research you wish to carry out and why you are seeking a place at Bath.
We may make an offer based on a lower grade if you can provide evidence of your suitability for the degree.
If your first language is not English but within the last 2 years, you completed your degree in the UK, you may be exempt from our English language requirements.
