Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences taught postgraduate tuition fees 2027/28

Fees for full and part-time taught postgraduate courses.

Factsheet

About these fees

These fees are for the 2027/28 academic year only. Tuition fees are liable to increase annually for all University of Bath students.

Annual fee increases

Once you have started your studies, you should budget for an increase each year for every further year of study. Those who started from 2025/26 onwards should budget for up to 8% fee increase each year. Those that started before 2025/26 should budget for up to 5% increase each year. The amount will be set out on our fee pages by June for the following academic year.

If you defer your entry, you will pay the fees for the year that you start your course and these may be higher than the annual increase for your original academic year.

Understanding your fee status

If you're an EU national your fee status may be Home or Overseas, depending on your circumstances.

Master's level Degree Apprenticeship

The sponsoring employer is responsible for recruitment and the payment of tuition fees. For an apprenticeship funded through the employer’s apprenticeship levy account, an apprentice cannot be asked to contribute towards the cost of training and assessment.

For apprentices funded under the NHS-England ‘exceptional funding model’ (or on the non-apprenticeship variant), it is possible that a student may be required by their employer to contribute towards the cost of tuition fees. This is at the discretion of, and charged directly by, the employer.

Eligibility conditions apply, including residency and right to work.
