36 points overall and either 7, 6, 6 in three Higher Level subjects including 6 in Mathematics: Analysis & Approaches or 7, 6, 5 in three Higher Level subjects including 7 in Mathematics: Analysis & Approaches.
In exceptional circumstances we may be able to consider you if you study Higher Level Mathematics: Applications & Interpretations. Please contact admissions@bath.ac.uk for further advice before you apply.
International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme
We consider applicants studying the IBCP on a case-by-case basis based on the individual components studied. To be considered for this course you will need to study Mathematics: Analysis & Approaches at Higher Level alongside other IB Higher Level subjects or vocational study equivalent to two A levels. This vocational study can be any qualification we accept, such as a BTEC National Diploma (RQF) or two BTEC National Extended Certificates (RQF).

Pearson Edexcel BTEC RQF
Typical offer
D*DD plus A* at A level
D*DD in the BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (RQF) plus A* in A level Mathematics.
Due to the mathematical content of the course, you will need A level Mathematics alongside your BTEC qualification. We are able to consider BTEC qualifications in Engineering, IT or Computing.
Pearson Edexcel BTEC QCF
Typical offer
D*D*D* plus A* at A level
D*D*D* in the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma (QCF) plus A* in A level Mathematics.
Due to the mathematical content of the course, you will need A level Mathematics alongside your BTEC qualification. We are able to consider BTEC qualifications in Engineering, IT or Computing.
T levels are not considered suitable preparation for this degree programme and are therefore not accepted for entry. If you require advice on how you may academically prepare to study this degree or present with a mix of qualifications, you should contact our Admissions Progression Team at admissions-progression@bath.ac.uk.
Cambridge Pre-U

Scottish Highers
Typical offer
AA in Advanced Highers
AA in two Advanced Highers including Mathematics and a second quantitative subject.
We make offers based on Advanced Highers. You will typically be expected to have completed five Scottish Highers and your grades in these will be considered as part of your application. We prefer applicants who have achieved AAAAA in their Highers.
Access to HE Diploma
Typical offer
Unfortunately, the Access to HE Diploma is not a suitable route for this course.
Combinations of qualifications
Typical offer
Your application will be considered individually based on the particular combination of qualifications and subjects that you are taking.
We can consider combinations of accepted qualifications, of which some common examples are:
- A* in A level Mathematics, A in a second quantitative A level subject or B in A level Further Mathematics, plus D in the BTEC National Extended Certificate (RQF) OR the Cambridge Technical Extended Certificate (RQF).
- A* in A level Mathematics, A in a second quantitative A level subject or B in A level Further Mathematics, plus grade D3 in a Pre-U Principal Subject.
- A* in A level Mathematics, A in a second quantitative A level subject or B in A level Further Mathematics, plus A in the LIBF Level 3 Diploma in Financial Studies (DipFS)
We can also consider combinations that are not listed and that do not include A levels. You should read the information about essential and preferred subjects and subject combinations. We cannot consider different qualifications in the same subject area.
