As part of the University's Be Well Week, we are running a variety of lunchtime events just for doctoral students. Some events require you to sign up, however you can attend as many as you like.
Monday 18 March
Mindfulness taster session | Time: | 12:00 - 13:30 | Location: 10W 5.01
Come and find out what mindfulness is and hear about a few common misconceptions. There will also be the chance to experience some meditation practices such as body awareness and breathing exercises. Let us know you are coming by signing up here.
Tuesday 19 March
Board games| Time: 12:00 - 14:00 | Location: 10W 5.01
Bring your lunch across to the doctoral commons to play some popular board games with your fellow doctoral students.
Wednesday 20 March
Wand making | Time: 12:00 - 13:00 and 13:00 - 14:00 | Location: 10W 5.01
Ever fancied making your own magical wand? Then join us to design, create and paint a unique wand for yourself. The two one hour sessions are set to fill up quickly so sign up fast.
Thursday 21 March
Arts, craft and pizza | Time: 12:00 -14:00 | Location: 10W 5.01
If you are feeling creative and hungry, join us for pizza, paint and crafts.
Friday 22 March
Cake in the Commons | Time: 10:30 - 11:30 | Location: 10W 5.01
Your weekly mid-morning snacks and hot drinks will be available in the doctoral commons.
Walk to Sham Castle and picnic | Time: 12:00 - 14:00 | Location: 10 West foyer
Pack up your sandwiches and join us as we take a leisurely stroll to Sham Castle for a picnic, leaving 10 West at 12:10pm. If the weather doesn't hold and it starts to rain, we will meet in 10W 5.01 for board games and an indoor picnic.
