Business Plan Workshop 2 - Business Modelling
Wednesday 12 Feb 2025
So you’ve worked your idea up in your mind, now you need to translate theory into practice! Where do you start?
Well, you don’t start by writing a business plan – not quite yet! What you need to do is develop a business model. It doesn’t have to be over complicated but it’s a way to establish the key variables within your business and see the impact and effect that your assumptions make to the viability of your project. It’s a sure-fire way to give you a much deeper understanding of your business and an easy way to create those all-important figures that you will need to support your business plan. The interactive session will provide groups with an opportunity to ‘play’ with a simple business model.
The objective of the session is to convince you of the value of investing time in developing a business model and above all provide you with a far more rounded understanding of your business idea. It’s the next step to translate theory into practice and get you ready to put pen to paper.
Business Plan Workshop 3 - Sales & Marketing
Wednesday 19 Feb 2025
Your idea is taking shape and you know what your product looks like and who you think it will appeal to. The next step is to market your product to make those all-important sales. You immediately think of social media and the thousands of hits that will translate into sales – or will it? Knowing your customer and the marketing techniques that are most appropriate to attract them is key. Social marketing is only one technique to attract and convert customers but there are many others available but what determines which one you should use?
This third session in the series will explore different types of customers from a variety of market segments and the techniques that can be employed to create demand.
