Royal Society support that could impact your research

Royal Society Entrepreneurs in Residence Dr Roberto Desimone and Dr Becky Sage discuss all ways to increase the impact of the work you and your teams are doing.

  • 16 Jun 2026, 2.15pm to 4.05pm BST (GMT +01:00)
  • tbc, tbc, University of Bath
  • This event is free

Commercialisation, communication & partnerships are all ways to increase the impact of the work that you and your teams are already doing. But there is a limited amount of support to help you to do it.

So, every year the Royal Society appoints approximately 12 - 15 Entrepreneurs in Residence with extensive experience in these areas to bring their expertise to universities across the country. This year the University of Bath got two. They will be accessing a network of industry contacts, venture capitalists, and government funders (including those of over 140 Royal Society EiRs at 50+ UK universities).

Come along to hear us talk about our background, our plans for the next two years and how we will use our skills, networks, passion and knowledge to enhance the impact activity across the university. It won't just be one way, we want to make sure that we are tailoring the support to work with you, so we are keen to understand more about your priorities.

Whether you want to identify more opportunities for commercialisation, increase the knowledge in your teams or access wider networks, we are here to help.

If you can't make it, but want to know more, please send us a note via email or teams.

50min presentation, plus 10-25 Q&A.
