Why you should use files.bath
You can use files.bath to store your files. You can then get to them from any computer and share them with anyone, including people outside the University. Everything is stored on the University servers, which keeps your files secure.
You can log in to files.bath with your University username, like abc12, and password. Your username is on your library card.
Upload your files
If you save your files to the H: Drive or X: Drive on a University computer you will be able to access them from files.bath. Anything you upload to the 'H Drive - Home' folder on files.bath will also be accessible from your H: Drive on any University computer.
You can upload files directly to files.bath. This will let you share the files with others in the University and people outside it.
If you wish to share a file with other people, you must upload or copy it to another folder. You cannot share a file stored within the 'H Drive - Home' or 'X Drive' folders.
To upload files:
- Log in to files.bath with your University username and password.
- Click on the plus (+) icon to create a new folder for your files if you wish to share them.
- Open the new folder, then click on the plus (+) icon again to upload the files.
Access and edit your files
To get to a file:
- Log in to files.bath with your University username and password.
- You will see any folders and files you have created within files.bath. You will also see your H: drive and X: drive folders.

Share a file or folder
You can share any file or folder which you upload directly to files.bath. Files and folders in 'H Drive - Home' and 'X Drive' can not be shared directly.
