Adding content to Pure
If you have published a press article, appeared in media as an expert, or if your research has been covered by press or other media, you can record this content in Pure.
To add a new record, click on the button ‘Add content’ and select ‘Press/Media’. Then choose a template that best fits the type of content you want to add: Blog entry, Expert comment, Public engagement activity, Research, Other.
First, you will be asked to add the ‘Title of theme / story’. This can be the title of the press article or media appearance, or a summary headline for wider coverage (for example, ‘Media coverage of .. research’).
Then, you will be asked to add details for each media contribution or coverage (including title, date, media name and type, URL). Please add as much detail as possible.
General rules for completing the template
- Complete all mandatory fields marked with a red asterisk.
- In the ‘Relations’ section, link the record with the relevant research project, publication, activity, or impact.
- Click on ‘Save’ to save the record.
Press/Media records are not centrally validated, and it is your responsibility to add information that is true and accurate. Currently Press/Media records are not displayed on the Research portal, we are working to enable this in the future.
