Adding Prizes, Fellowships, Learned society and Honorary appointments to Pure

How to record your research-related honours and prizes in Pure.

Introduction

Various research-related honours can be added to Pure as ‘Prizes’:

  • honorary appointments and honorary degrees
  • election to learned society
  • national and international honours
  • fellowships awarded competitively (including industry and policy fellowships)

Prizes are included in your Research Activity Report. They are not currently displayed on the University of Bath Research Portal.

Adding prizes

Select the green ‘Add new’ button at the top right of the screen and select ‘Prize, Fellowship, Learned society & Honorary appt’. Next, choose a template.

General rules to filling in the template

When filling in your chosen template:

  • complete all mandatory fields marked with a red asterisk
  • add as much information as possible
  • under ‘Relations’ link your prize to your other content in Pure
  • Prize records will be displayed on the Research Portalby default. Change the visibility setting to ‘Backend – Restricted to Pure users’ to stop the record from being publicly displayed.

Remember to save your record before you close it.

Uploading files to prize records

If you upload any documents to prize records, you must comply with the University’s Deposit Licence and ensure that you hold the copyright for the file or are authorised to upload and publicly display the file by the copyright owner.

Prize records are not validated, and it is your responsibility to ensure that the content is accurate, appropriate for public display, and does not infringe any copyright.
