Deadlines for academic probation progress reports

Find out when to submit your Probation Progress Report for assessment by Academic Staff Committee.

Before you submit your Probation Review Form

The deadlines below are for completed Probation Progress Reports and supporting documentation which includes Head of Department/Division/Reviewer and Deans' comments. Completed reports are to be submitted via the Career Progression Portal (CPP) for Academic Staff Committee (ASC) assessment of all Probationary Lecturers.

All deadlines are 11:59pm that day unless stated otherwise by the Academic Career Progression Team in our communications.

You must check with your Head of Department/Division/ Reviewer for any internal deadlines.

Deadlines

Email reminders to Probationary Lecturers, Head of Department/Division/Reviewer and Deans are sent 10 weeks in advance of each ASC meeting for those due for review.

The deadlines for completed Probation Progress Reports and supporting documentation via the CPP is three weeks in advance of each ASC meeting.

You can check when your review dates are on the Review Details (know as the 'home screen') of your CPP profile.

Deadlines and timescales are the same for any Probationary Lecturers using the word forms/email approach of reporting on progress. If you are unsure if this includes you, check to see if you have an active profile on the CPP or contact your Head of Department/Division or the Academic Career Progression Team.

Your Head of Department/Division/Reviewer will be informed of the outcome via the CPP to then let you know within two-three weeks after the ASC meeting.
