About the support fund

This is a Research and Innovation Services (RIS) fund, providing financial support to University of Bath researchers who are engaging in the Horizon 2020 (H2020) programme. Both travel and consortium meeting support are available.

Travel support

This provides financial support to Bath researchers attending H2020-focused meetings, conferences and brokerage events; meeting potential partners and attending proposal development consortium meetings.

Applications must:

  • be made at least two weeks in advance of the event
  • have a specific work programme topic(s) to which they intend to apply

Up to £300 per visit is available for travel, subsistence and accommodation.

Your funding request must meet the University's travel and staff expenses guidelines.

To apply, complete the Horizon2020 travel support fund form and email it to Research Grant Development: resdev@lists.bath.ac.uk.

Consortium meeting support

This supports Bath researchers coordinating H2020 submissions to meet with consortium partners, for proposal development.

Applications must:

  • be made at least one month in advance of the meeting
  • provide details of the consortium you are applying for

Successful applicants will submit a Horizon 2020 proposal as Coordinator within 12 months of receiving funding.

Up to £800 per meeting is available for:

  • travel, subsistence and accommodation
  • meeting costs (note: the UKRO meeting room in Brussels is available free of charge)

Your funding request must meet the University's travel and staff expenses guidelines.
