Preparing to come to an Offer Holder Day

Plan how to get to our campus, where you can park, your food and drink options, and staying in Bath before or after your Offer Holder Day.

If you've been offered a place at Bath, you'll be invited to attend an offer-holder event to get to know your department and the University better.

Congratulations on being offered a place to study at Bath. We're looking forward to seeing you at one of our Offer Holder Days and giving you a flavour of what it's like to study and live in what we think is a brilliant community on campus and off. Here's what you need to know to help you plan a great visit.

Bringing people with you to your Offer Holder Day

Feel free to bring as many family or friends as you'd like to your Offer Holder Day, but please be aware that only one person can accompany you to any talks or tours.

Travelling to Bath and our campus

Our campus is on the western edge of beautiful, historic Bath, overlooking the city. It's straightforward to get to Bath and the campus by rail and road.

Travel bursaries

Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible to receive a travel bursary to refund your travel costs to an Offer Holder Day.

Parking on campus

On Offer Holder Days, you can park on the campus for free. You won't need a permit or to register on a parking app.

Please be aware that space in our car parks on Friday 10 April may be limited as it's a working day at the University. Campus parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Using the park-and-ride service

There are also three park-and-ride sites on the edge of the city.

On Friday 10 April 2026, you can catch the free bus service from Lansdown Park & Ride to the campus.

On other Offer Holder Days, you'll need to take a park-and-ride bus to the Bus Station, and then either the U1 or U3 service up to campus.

The MiPermit app

You can pay for parking in the city and Bath's park-and-ride services using the MiPermit app. You can download the app from:

You can also pay for parking through the MiPermit website.

Where to get food and drink on campus

Restaurants and cafés

During your Offer Holder Day, a variety of food and drink outlets will be open on campus.

Supermarkets

We also have two supermarkets on campus:

Keep cups

We don't use disposable cups in our food and drink outlets. For this reason, if you'd like to have a tea or coffee on the go during your Offer Holder Day, you may want to bring your favourite keep cup.

You can also buy reusable Exchange cups on campus.

Water refill stations

There are 20 water refill stations located around the campus. Our interactive map shows their locations and describes where specifically you can find them.

Finding a place to stay in Bath

If you want to stay in Bath, to break your journey or explore the city at your leisure after your Offer Holder Day, the city offers a wide range of hotels, guesthouses, and self-catering properties.
