Equality objectives are key to achieving our strategic aims and ensuring students and staff are supported to thrive in an open, inclusive environment, at Bath and beyond.

Our Equality Objectives 2026-2030 aim to provide:

  • A vibrant, diverse, international community of staff and students, where we work to eliminate barriers to access.
  • An inclusive academic offering where teaching, curricula, and research offer diverse perspectives, and where everyone can reach their potential.
  • Fair, transparent career progression opportunities for all staff.
  • A safe, respectful and inclusive campus where we celebrate and report openly on our University culture.

The University’s progress against these objectives is measured and reported regularly, using key indicators under each, to the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee and annually through the People and Culture Committee.
