Maria Bond Appointed by Council
Will undertake the responsibilities of members of governing bodies as set out in the CUC Guide for Members of Higher Education Governing Bodies in the UK.
Maria Bond was appointed to the Council of the University of Bath from 1 August 2019 for a term of three years.
Maria is a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. She trained whilst working as a Quantity Surveyor for the Allen Group.
Maria worked in Construction for the Morgan Sindall Group and the Rok Group as Commercial Director, Area Director before joining the acquisition team to lead the due-diligence and integration of new businesses.
More recently Maria has worked for Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Non-executive Director whilst also undertaking interim assignments based around Project Management.
Maria is currently a Non-Executive Director of Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust where she is the Chair of Quality Committee and Deputy Chair of Audit and Risk Committee. Maria also volunteers for the Scouting organisation.
Maria lives in Stroud, Gloucestershire with her husband Jason, their three children and two dogs. Her interests include spending quality time with her family, walking her dogs, travel, construction and mental health. Maria is also a qualified riding instructor.
