This standard details the University's arrangements for ensuring safe and legal operation of drones/UAVs over University property.

The standard applies to any use of drones on University premises regardless of who is the operator. The standard should also be followed for drone use by University departments or staff at other locations when this activity is for University purposes. This document was reviewed at the December 2025 meeting of UHSC. Subsequent legal changes which came into force 1st January 2026 have been incorporated into this version. It is next due for review by 31 December 2028.
