Objectives for lecturers on academic probation
You can use the examples of good practice and template forms to set objectives for your probationary lecturers.
Below are examples of good practice objectives for probationary lecturers who specialise in both teaching and teaching & research to help inform your meeting for setting objectives when they start at the University. The good practice examples are based on the criteria for passing probation found in appendix 1 of the CPER.
Final objectives will be specific to the individual and discipline.
Once objectives have been agreed between the probationary lecturer, the HoD/Reviewer and the Dean of Faculty/School, they must be submitted to the Academic Career Progression Team.
