Postgraduate Taught Assessment Regulations

The Postgraduate Taught Assessment Regulations (PGTAR) set out rules for assessment including outcomes, progression, and award eligibility and classification.

These regulations apply to:

Engineering & Design

Starting Oct 25 or later:

  • MSc Robotics and Autonomous Systems

Starting Oct 23 or later:

  • MSc Eng Business Management

All other courses starting Oct 22 or later

Humanities & Social Sciences

All courses starting Oct 24 or later and

  • Clinical Associate in Psychology

Science

These courses starting Oct 25 or later:

  • MSc Comp Science/Data Science/Statistics and Data Science
  • MSc Data Science and Statistics (Health)
  • MSc Financial Maths with Data Science
  • MSc Maths with Data Science for Industry
  • PG Cert/Dip Statistical Applied Maths
  • MSc Advanced Machine Learning
  • MSc Artificial Intelligence
  • PG Cert/PG Dip/MRes Sustainable Chem Technologies

These courses starting Oct 24 or later:

  • MSc Drug Discovery
  • MSc Biotechnology (Healthcare Technologies/Sustainable Biotechnologies/with Entrepreneurship)
  • MSc Molecular Biosciences (Bioinformatics/Medical Biosciences/ Microbiology)
  • Integrated PhD Molecular Biosciences
  • Integrated PhD Biotechnology

Management

These courses starting Oct 25 or later:

  • MBA
  • MRes

And all MSc courses starting Oct 23 or later
