Safe use of cryogenic materials safety standard

The University's arrangements for the safe use of cryogenic materials.

Policy

This standard sets out the University's arrangements for the safe use of Cryogenic Substances. This includes setting out the roles and responsibilities of relevant Heads of Departments, line managers, supervisors and those using cryogenic substances so that the arrangements are properly implemented.

The standard was reviewed and agreed by UHSC in March 2025. It has been scheduled for review by UHSC in March 2028.
