Applications are now open for the Institute for Policy Research's Policy Engagement Intern role, a paid position offered on a full time, fixed-term basis. This post is available to University of Bath students who are looking to secure a third-year placement as part of the undergraduate degree course.
The Policy Engagement Intern will support the IPR’s Head of Policy Programmes and Communications and Policy Engagement Manager with the pilot Bath Policy Engagement Academy (BPEA), assisting with the delivery of policies, activities and programmes for the academy.
They will work with the Policy Engagement Manager on the development and launch of the Policy Fellowship Alumni network and will support the development and distribution of policy publications.
In addition, working with the IPR Events, Publications and Communications Officer, they will support the ActNowFilm project, a global youth voices in climate change project which will showcase at COP29. They will play a key project management role and act as a youth voices representative on the project.
This role would suit someone interested in a busy, varied, and high paced role, who is looking to gain a wide portfolio of experiences, opportunities and new skills. The role is designed to be an active and integral part of the team, with specific responsibilities for delivery. The successful candidate will gain a broad experience in policy engagement and communications activities.
The role is offered on a full time (36.5 hours per week) fixed-term basis with an expected end date of 28 June 2025. It is only available to current undergraduate students at the University of Bath, looking to secure a placement role as part of their undergraduate degree course. The deadline for applications is Sunday 19 May, with interviews taking place on Friday 24 May.
