Description: Aims:
To develop and apply clinical, practical and professional knowledge, supporting the delivery of effective medicines optimisation across a range of clinical areas.

Learning Outcomes:

* Describe, identify and clinically prioritise drug interactions, and intervene in patient care to optimise medicines and minimise risks of across a range of clinical conditions.
* Identify how pharmacology of medicines is affected by key co-pathologies and intervene in patient care to optimise medicines and minimise risks of across a range of clinical conditions.
* Identify and interpret laboratory tests, physiological parameters, and other diagnostic indicators to support medicines optimisation decision making in practice
* Apply the principles of antibiotic stewardship in practice to minimise the impact of inappropriate antimicrobial prescribing and optimise patient outcomes.
* Critically describe how local and national reporting systems are employed in clinical practice to support improvements in patient safety
* Describe and demonstrate how local and national policies and guidance support cost-effective medicines optimisation decision making
* Reflect on learning experiences, evaluate performance, and identify performance gaps as areas for ongoing development.
