What's on offer
Appointment and drop-in options
We have introduced a few changes to our service to become more available and responsive. We are offering drop-ins and appointments, which are listed below. Use this information to make sure you're getting the help you need.
To help you get advice as quickly as possible, we encourage you to use daily support from the Careers Helpdesk and our online resources.
If you're unsure where to start find out how to get help from Careers.
Drop-in support from the Careers Helpdesk
The Careers Helpdesk is available 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday on campus and remotely.
You can get immediate assistance with your career questions or get help with an application. No appointment is necessary - just drop in or contact us when you need us.
In most cases we will either:
- be able to help you right away
- hand you over to one of our on-call staff for more in-depth support
Depending on how busy the drop-in is, you will get around 10-15 minutes with our staff.
If you are away from Bath, we can arrange a remote Teams or phone call with our on-call staff if needed.

Interview support
Online tools
You can get instant interview practice through our online tools via MyFuture:
Interview practice
Drop in to Careers to get help with your interview preparation. You can also book a 20-minute Careers Appointment for informal interview practice. You can use these to practise non-tailored interview questions and get feedback. You do not have to have an interview coming up to book interview practice.
Tailored mock interviews
Appropriate if you have an interview coming up. You can request a 25-minute mock interview tailored to that upcoming interview. Your request for a Mock Interview will be reviewed by Careers staff. They will review our current availability and get back to you.
Tailored mock interviews have limited availability. We can't offer a tailored mock interview for every interview you have scheduled. We may impose restrictions on the number of tailored mock interviews you can request.
Please note: We cannot offer mock interviews for technical or case interviews. Go to MyFuture to request a mock interview
Interview discussion
If you don't want to practice questions but have general concerns about interviews, you can drop in or book a Careers Appointment to discuss these. You can use them to talk through any concerns or questions you might have about an upcoming interview or interviews in general. You do not have to have an interview coming up to discuss interviews.
Discretionary Internship Bursary applications
Drop into the Careers Centre if you need to complete the Careers sign-off part of a Discretionary Internship Bursary application. The Careers Consultant on-call will talk through your plans with you before completing this part of the form. We cannot complete forms sent to us via email.
