Even if you've been receiving SafeZone notifications about the issues in the past, please opt-in to the relevant groups to continue receiving notifications.

The service uses the SafeZone app without requiring it to be open or active on your phone.

  • Public Transport Users group, for alerts about disruption to bus or train travel in the local area
  • Adverse Weather group, for updates about local weather such as snow and ice, wind, extreme heat, or information on flooding.

Red weather warnings, which may pose a threat to life and require action, will be sent as an emergency alert.
