Speaking of... Commercial Determinants of Health

A policy brief outlining strategies for discussing commercial determinants of health.

Speaking of...Commercial Determinants of Health

Communicating about the Commercial Determinants of Health (CDoH) can be challenging, particularly to those outside of public health or who are not familiar with the term. Local Health and Global Profit's member Dr Amber van den Akker led research into how people across academia, civil society and government communicate about the CDoH in their work. She conducted semi-structured interviews with people working on the interface of evidence and policy on the CDoH and related topics, at local, regional, national, and international level. The findings are now published in this policy brief, written by Dr van den Akker, Karen Lindsay, and Dr Georgina Wort.

Aimed at: Public, Directors of Public Health, local authorities, public health stakeholders
