Our biosciences courses enable you to explore an exciting area of study that's rapidly evolving with advances in biological technologies, tools, and approaches, paving the way to tackling some of the world’s biggest challenges.

You can choose to study undergraduate degree courses in:

• Biology. Study life on all scales, from the molecular to the global ecosystem, with evolution, genetics and genomics at the core.
• Biochemistry. Explore the molecular processes within and related to living organisms with this laboratory-based science.
• Biomedical sciences. Study human health and the causes, prevention and treatment of disease, from the body's molecular details to the symptoms and pathology of diseases.

We are delighted to offer up to 300 Bath International Excellence Scholarships that are worth £8,000 per academic year - £24,000 over three years - for high-achieving international students joining an undergraduate degree course in September 2026.

If you are a new first year applicant who has been assessed as an overseas fee paying student, and have an offer to study an undergraduate degree at the University of Bath starting in September 2026, you are eligible to apply.
