Undergraduate offer holder events
After you receive an offer from us, we'll invite you to our offer holder events so you can learn more about your department, your course, and the University.
About our offer holder events
Congratulations on receiving your offer to study at Bath. Your department will now email you inviting you to their offer holder events.
Departments can hold three different types of offer holder events:
- Offer Holder Days
- Department Visit Days
- Virtual Offer Holder Days
All three types of events are a great way to:
- meet your coursemates before you start your studies
- hear from current students about what it's like to study here
- learn more about your course from the experts who teach it
Offer Holder Days
At our Offer Holder Days, you will see your department and meet the teaching staff and current students. You may also have the chance to attend a taster lecture and take part in other department activities.
Offer Holder Days also give you the opportunity to:
- join a campus tour
- view some of our accommodation
- attend a talk about student support
- visit the Information Fair to learn more about:
- admissions
- accommodation
- careers and employability
- the Sports Training Village
- our Students' Union (The SU)
- campus security
Offer Holder Day dates
Every department takes part in at least one on-campus Offer Holder Day. Your department will invite you to their available dates.
Our 2026 Offer Holder Days are on:
- Saturday 21 February
- Friday 10 April
- Saturday 25 April
Department Visit Days
Some departments will also run a Department Visit Day. If your department holds a Department Visit Day, you will find the date of this in your email invitation.
At a Department Visit Day you'll be able to:
- see your department
- meet the academics who will be teaching you
- talk to current students
You'll also have the chance to take part in taster sessions and ask any questions you may have.
Department Visit Days are focused on the department, rather than the University as a whole, but you will be able to walk around the campus. They take place on weekdays during term time, so they're a good opportunity to experience life at Bath.
Virtual Offer Holder Days
If your department holds a Virtual Offer Holder Day, you can find the date of this in your email invitation.
A Virtual Offer Holder Day is an opportunity to find out more about your department and course if you can't attend an on-campus event. They include:
- an introductory talk
- a student panel with the chance to ask questions
- talks from teaching staff about your course
If you register for a Virtual Offer Holder Day, you'll also get some bonus content by email after the event.

Campus tours
If you can't attend any of our offer holder events, you can book a campus tour for a date that suits you.
This is an excellent opportunity to see our facilities, explore the campus, and get a feel for what it's like to be a student at Bath.
You'll join a small group, led by one of our Student Ambassadors, and visit the:
- Library
- Sports Training Village
- Students’ Union
- teaching spaces
