Mechanical engineering offer holder days

We run regular open days for our undergraduate offer holders between February and May. Find out why you should attend one.

You can also book an in-person or virtual campus tour

After you receive an offer to study one of our undergraduate courses, we'll invite you by email to one of our offer holder days.

Most of our days are in-person events so you can visit our campus and meet our academics and current students, but we also offer interactive virtual offer holder days so you don't have to miss out.

We usually run these on Wednesdays between February and May. You'll be able to choose which date you'd like to attend but it's best to book early as they can fill up fast. We'll give you information about travel, campus accessibility, and where to go when you get here in your invite.

Our in-person days start at around 13:30 and finish at 16:30 which will give you time to visit the city before arriving on campus.

Helping you to make the right decision.

Whether you join us in person or online, you'll get to meet our students and staff and talk to them about what's important to you. Our Director of Recruitment, Access & Admissions can tell you more about how our courses are structured and assessed, the topics you'll study, and other opportunities available to you including our placements scheme. There will also be a chance to talk with our department team and student ambassadors, who will be happy to answer any questions you have about studying at Bath.

We will then take you on a tour of the department to see our labs, workshops, and facilities. You'll see the spaces you'll learn in during your degree and maybe even meet some of our student competition teams.

A taster of Bath

Explore our campus and take the opportunity to visit the city after your day with us.

Campus life isn't just about studying. As a taster, we'll take you around our Sports Training Village (STV), where you'll have access to the same facilities used by Olympic athletes. You'll see our Students' Union, which houses the Student Centre, food outlets, and the campus pub and nightclub. We will also show you The Edge, our arts centre where you can take dance, art and music classes.

See more information about making the most of your university experience.

The city of Bath is only 10 minutes away by bus so we advise our guests to take the opportunity to visit the city after their day with us has finished.

If you're unable to attend an open day

We offer a range of dates so you can choose to attend one that best suits you.

We understand that it may be difficult to visit the University, especially if you don't live in the UK. That's why we also offer online events for you to meet our academics and students, take a virtual tour of our department, and get the answers you need to make a decision.

If you can't make any of our campus-based dates but think you'll be in Bath on another day, you can contact our Department and we'll do our best to arrange an individual visit for you.
