Requisites:
Aims: To gain knowledge and experience in the design of environmental control systems for buildings, building upon the principles Building Environment 1 and 2.

Learning Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, the student will be able to design and critically analyse different building environment control systems and how these interact with the architecture and structure of a building.

Content: Resource use in construction and operation of buildings. The need for resource efficient buildings. The needs and perception for internal environment control. Assessing passive and active methods of environmental control for heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting and acoustics.
