Requisites:
Aims: Provide learners a broad overview of the management of minor� illness� in primary care.� � 
Increase the� understanding of� the� contribution� a� pharmacist can make in responding to patients'� minor� illness� symptoms� including in a first contact practitioner role.� 
Through application of knowledge,� effectively manage minor illness and identify� red flag symptoms

Learning Outcomes: Analyse� the current public policy in the management of minor illnesses� 
Gather a range of clinical information, including using� basic� physical examination skills, to formulate differential and working diagnoses,� implementing� holistic plans for patient care� in the context of a minor illness� 
Identify and evaluate decision making theory and apply this in practice to support� the management of minor illness� 
Understand and evaluate the routes of access to Over-The-Counter (OTC)� medicines� � 
Critically evaluate the role of the pharmacist and medicines counter assistant in the OTC supply process� 
Understand the fundamentals in the conditions that commonly present as minor� illnesses� 
Apply principles of basic clinical examination in the� context� of minor� illnesses�
