Nimbus training sessions

Join a user training session if you would like to start using Bath's new cloud supercomputing environment.


Procedure


Nimbus is available to all academic staff and PhD students. You can start using the University's HPC environment as soon as you have secured funding to cover your compute costs.

User training sessions

We offer three different training sessions for new users:

  • Research Computing Account Management (RCAM) portal training
  • Short Nimbus training sessions for experienced HPC users
  • In-depth Nimbus training sessions for new HPC users

RCAM portal training
PI's of a Business World (Agresso) account with a HPC budget and users with viewer/admin rights to a HPC budget/resource allocation must complete our short RCAM portal training before attending a Nimbus training session.

Nimbus user training sessions
If you don’t need to attend a RCAM portal training session (see above), you can directly join the Nimbus user training session that meets your needs.

We will give you access to Nimbus once have completed the training sessions.
