You are warmly invited to a community and inclusion celebration event to acknowledge and celebrate our values, our colleagues and students, and all of the work which contributes to our culture and success across our University.
Our Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ian White, will welcome everyone and open the event. There will also be a few words of thanks from Professor Rajani Naidoo, Vice President (Community and Inclusion), to the Community and Inclusion team and all the members of our community who work so hard to make our University a warm and welcoming space.
Feilian Du, who is a student at our University, and a talented creator of stories with photographs, will present a slide show of a story-photo project. Feilian has listened to the stories of a wide range of members of our community, and photographed them with words to represent what community at the University of Bath means.
This event will also launch our Statement of Equality Objectives and celebrate recent successes linked to Athena Swan, Disability Leader Status, our nomination as Queer University of the Year and our Race Equality Taskforce Report.
There will be opportunities to meet, and to connect, by viewing exhibition tables showcasing community and inclusion work through research, education, EDI and wellbeing staff networks, initiatives such as Be the Change and our interfaith work. If you would like to showcase your work, please contact Lucy Spedo Mirandola lsm49@bath.ac.uk.
A buffet lunch inspired by global cuisine will be served. Many thanks to Jane Loveys and the campus services teams for providing this and for all their support of this event.
Please register here by 15 June and please remember to add your dietary requirements.
We are looking forward very much to welcoming you.
