Registering

If you’re a graduating student (a "graduand") you must be ready for registration in your seat in the Ball Room by 2.15pm (30 minutes before the start of your ceremony).

Please make sure you have collected your gown before coming to the Ball Room (we recommend that you allow around 1 hour 30 minutes before the start of your ceremony to ensure you have had time to arrive and have your gown fitted).

The doors to the Ball Room will close at 2.15pm (30 minutes before the start of your ceremony).

Guest Seating

The Ball Room doors will open at 1.45pm and close at 2.15pm.

Guests will be required to show their tickets on the door and must have a valid ticket to gain access.

Guests should make sure they are seated no later than 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony.

Students and guests with specific requirements should speak to ushers if they require assistance.

Honorary graduand

At this ceremony Dr Adrian Evans will give an oration on Dr Brian Nicholson before he receives an honorary degree of Doctor of Engineering (DEng).

Bringing luggage

There is nowhere to leave suitcases and travel bags at the Assembly Rooms. Café au Lait and Bath Luggage Storage Centre opposite the train station both offer luggage storage.

Travelling to Bath

Bath is a busy tourist city and there is always pressure on car parking. Please leave plenty of time for travelling to Bath and getting to the Assembly Rooms.

There is free parking on the Claverton Down campus. We suggest that graduands and their guests park on campus, take a bus into the city and walk to the Assembly Rooms.
