Kate Muir is a menopause expert, writer, and the producer of three ground-breaking Davina McCall women’s health documentaries, including Sex, Myths and the Menopause for Channel 4. She is the author of Everything You Need to Know About the Menopause (but were too afraid to ask).

Kate has researched the effect of menopause in the workplace, inclusion in women’s health, and hormones and longevity. She also produced an upcoming Maestro masterclass series with menopause expert Dr Louise Newson. Her latest project is a Channel 4 documentary on the contraceptive pill, and a new book investigating women’s experiences and the latest science around contraception.

Working with Carolyn Harris MP, Kate advised on the campaign for free hormone replacement therapy in Parliament, and gave evidence to the All Party Parliamentary Group on menopause. Kate took “The Menopause Roadshow” to a number of literary festivals including Hay and Glasgow, and is an accomplished speaker on the menopause - recent appearances include Cambridge University, NHS England, Deloitte and Credit Suisse. As a founding member and activist for The Menopause Charity, Kate supports their programme of outreach to underserved communities.
