How to book onto the NHS Test and Trace programme for Coronavirus tests at University of Bath. Updated 25 June 2021.

Who can book

The tests are for all students and staff who do not currently have symptoms of Coronavirus.

If you do have symptoms and you are a student you must follow Isolate, Test, Tell guidance, if you are staff you must do the same and let us know.

For more information please see our National Coronavirus testing programme 2021 FAQs.

Where you can take your tests

Until 30 June you can book your test at The Edge building on campus or the Dartmouth Avenue building in Oldfield Park. If you prefer to test at home, you can also collect home testing kits from the Edge Monday to Friday 10am to 2pm, this is a drop-in service with no need to book.

From 1 July you will be able to collect Coronavirus rapid lateral flow home test kits from the Sports Training Village on campus.

When you pick up your pack or packs (you can collect two per person), the team will ask for your name and telephone number, so please bring your Library or ID card with you. Each pack contains seven test kits and should last for three and a half weeks. After completing a home test, you should register your result with NHS Test and Trace.

You can also order free packs of rapid lateral flow tests to be sent to your home or collect them from local pharmacies.

If it’s more convenient, you can also use the B&NES facility at 3 Burton Street in the city centre (BA1 1BN). Appointments are available in five minute slots and can be booked up to two weeks in advance on the B&NES website. When booking, simply select ‘other’ in the occupation category.

If you prefer to test for coronavirus at home, you can collect up to two packs of seven home tests on campus.
