Who we are
Military Matters is a new group aiming to provide mentoring and peer support to ex-serving personnel, as well as a space for researchers to connect and work together to advance military-related research.
Who can join
Military Matters is a new group at the University of Bath that is open to staff and students who are veterans, reservists, service family member, or Cadet Forces adult volunteers.
Staff who have supported the military in civilian roles, or those who research topics related to the Armed Forces Community are also welcome to join.
Our aims
- Bring military connected staff and students together to build connections
- Offer peer support
- Raise awareness of the experiences and needs of military-connected staff and students across the University
- Provide a space for staff working in military health to collaborate and advance
- Signpost to organisations that can help

Collaboration
Military Matters is open to collaborations with other academic institutions, military charities and government organisations within the UK and internationally to produce high-quality evidence and support for our military population.
