Research and professional development opportunities

Research staff (Research Officers, Research Associates and Prize Fellows) at the Universities of Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter have the opportunity to access skills training delivered at other universities within the GW4 Alliance, subject to availability.

If you wish to attend a session, please email the named contact to request a place, stating what session you wish to attend as well as your full name, home university and job title. Please state in the subject line: ‘GW4 attendance at [name and date of workshop or event]. The eligibility and availability for each university varies, and the ‘host’ university can refuse the request for any given workshop or event.

These opportunities are available on an occasional basis. Much of the training offered is likely to be available already at your own institution. For some courses or workshops your request may be unsuccessful as priority will be given to their own staff. This access is being offered on a trial basis and may be withdrawn if demand exceeds expectations.
