The Student Living team are looking for a Support Coordinator! This role is eligible for a starting bonus of up to £1000 - please see below.

About the role:

You will be working for the Student Living Team on our Residence Life programme. Residence Life adds value to time in University halls, with our more than a room concept.

You will be central to:

  • Creating a vibrant year-round social events and activities schedule
  • Welcoming students into halls
  • Managing peer to peer roles (our Student Living Assistants)
  • Improving student experience

Creating a community feel and sense of belonging across the 5000+ beds in our University halls is a main goal. University halls are mainly on campus but there also around 1500 in the City Centre and a key part of the role will be ensuring these City based students get the best experience we can offer.

This is a full time (36.5 hours), permanent position.  

Interviews are scheduled to take place on Monday 17th April. 

About you:

We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about student experience. 

You will have:

  • Experience in a dynamic customer-facing role involving reception/reservations
  • An understanding of customer care as well as discretion and confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • A desire to deliver excellent standards of work and service

Experience within a Higher Education organisation is a bonus, but not essential.

About us:

The Student Living team sits within the department of Campus Services, created in August 2022 by combining all the facilities teams across the University into one department. The strength of this department is essential to underpin our university goal of excellence in education, research and experience for students, staff, visitors and commercial customers alike.  

With over 400 staff Campus Services consists of a diverse range of teams including student living, hospitality, retail, cleaning and portering, security, postal services and landscaping.

Since last August we have continued to develop the services we provide in response to the changing needs of the University.  A key part of delivering this customer experience is having a team which is engaged and supported in delivering our services.

What we can offer you:

This role is eligible for the Campus Services New Starter bonus*. Apply today and if you are appointed, receive an additional £500 one month after starting and £500 on successfully passing your probation period (six months). Please note this bonus is pro rata for part time roles.
