We seek to appoint a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Education and International Development to make a significant contribution to research and teaching capacity in that field. You will need to have current research relevant to the post and some teaching experience. Applicants whose area specialisms complement, or contrast helpfully with, those of existing colleagues in the department are particularly welcome.

Your teaching will contribute principally to the Undergraduate Degree in Education with Psychology, for example ‘Educational inequalities in low income contexts’ (http://www.bath.ac.uk/catalogues/2017-2018/ed/ED20436.html), the full-time MA International Education and Globalisation, for example, ‘Education and international development’ (http://www.bath.ac.uk/catalogues/2018-2019/ed/ED50489.html) and full-time/part-time EdD and PhD programmes. There will also be an opportunity to contribute to the new MA in English as a Medium of Instruction.

The Department of Education is a thriving and expanding department with an international reputation for teaching and research that informs theory, policy and practice (www.bath.ac.uk/education).

As part of the application process you are required to upload a minimum of one paper that you would submit to REF 2020.

Informal enquiries may be directed to Dr. Andrea Abbas, Head of Department (tel: +44 (0) 1225 385217; email: a.abbas@bath.ac.uk).
