We have over 1,700 alumni living in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Alumni Chapter is very active and holds several events for alumni each year.

Hong Kong Chapter Leaders

Patrick Yu (Chairman)

BSc Computer Information Systems 1998

After his graduation, Patrick worked in IT until 2007, when he started his own business as an independent financial advisor. Currently, Patrick holds several recognised professional qualifications, including Chartered Wealth Manager (CWMTM) and Certified Financial Planner (CFPCM). Patrick joined the Dragon Junior Chamber, which is an affiliated chapter of Junior Chamber International Hong Kong, in 2008 and he has become Vice President of the Chapter in 2011. Patrick is actively participating in local politics. He joined the New People's Party in Hong Kong as a founding member and he is currently the Internal Membership Director of the Youth Committee of the Party. Patrick has also dedicated his efforts to serve the university alumni and he is now acting President of the University of Bath, Hong Kong Alumni Chapter.

William Lo (External Relations Director)

BSc (Hons) Politics w Econmics 2007

William Lo completed his Bachelor’s degree in University of Bath and Master’s degree in Loughborough University. He then commenced his career in banks and been responsible for sales management and investment product hedging. He currently work as the Vice CEO of a financial services company providing outsourcing services for banks in numerous cities in China.

William believes Bath’s experience of every alumni has not yet ended after graduation, but instead, should continue outside campus through Bath’s alumni network. As the External Relations Director for the Bath Alumni Chapter, he aims to establish a Bath community in Hong Kong and to reinforce the Alumnus’ sense of belonging to Bath.

Benson Pang (Membership Director)

BSc Economics 2009

Benson is currently working in the retail and wealth management sector. He began his career with an Asset Management Firm and a Swiss Investment Bank in London. He then spent two years in Singapore to further pursue his banking career and relocated to Hong Kong in 2011. In addition to his role in Finance, he is a qualified Chartered Wealth Manager (CWM), Certified Risk Planner (CRP) and Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NFNLP). He is also actively involved in the Toastmasters and Junior Chamber International activities in Hong Kong.

Benson is a past President of the Chinese Student Society and led the Society to be recognised as the Best Cultural Society in 2006-2007. As the Membership Director of the Hong Kong Alumni Chapter, he is passionate to connect Bath alumni from different backgrounds and perspectives.

Franco Pang (Vice-Chairman)

MPharm Pharmacy 2011

Franco is a practicing pharmacist in both Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. He currently works at the Headquarters of the largest pharmaceutical manufacturing group in Hong Kong and establishes quality compliance strategies (PIC/S GMP) for multiple business units. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and engages in the quality management, operation management and regulatory compliance functions.

Franco has served as the Chairman of Chinese Student Society in Bath University from 2008 to 2009. He endeavours to focus on the needs of returning graduates and to create an exchange platform for networking and career advice. In late 2014, he founded www.hongkongpharmacist.com - the largest online open platform that provides resources and advice to students, pharmacy undergraduates and practising pharmacists who are enthusiastic to pursue the pharmacy career in Hong Kong. He is recently nominated by the Hong Kong Pharmacist Union as the council member of pharmaceutical sector. Currently, he is served as the Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Alumni Chapter.

Jonathan Tsang (Programme and Event Director)

Jonathan is currently pursuing a career in the accounting industry. He began his career with a "Big Four" professional services firm, where he has worked within the tax department for a few years. He is working towards the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) qualification.

As the Director of Programs and Events, he establishes and manages all kinds of programs and events with fellow committee members. He also helps to invite more new alumni to participate in our chapter activities.

Winnie Leung (Public Relations Director)

BSc (Hons) Economics w Plcmt 2007 Winnie Leung completed her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Bath. She completed her Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance and graduated with a Scholarship Award. She is currently a Chartered Certified Accountant of ACCA, a member of INSOL International, and Restructuring and Insolvency Faculty of the HKICPA.

Over the years with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Hong Kong, she has worked extensively and supervised a variety of high-profile and complex forensic assignments, investigations of fraud and suspected regulatory compliance issues and other corporate advisory assignments. Winnie is currently pursuing her career in one of the Hong Kong law enforcement agencies.

As the Public Relations Director of the Hong Kong Bath Alumni Chapter, she looks forward to managing various promotion channels for the Hong Kong Chapter.

Charles Tse (Social Media Director)

BEng Civil Engineering 2007

Charles is a qualified Certified Public Accountant (HKICPA) in Hong Kong. He worked in the Big 4 Audit once he was graduated. Currently he is a specialist in the XBRL Financial Reporting, helping clients to file their financials and working closely with the IASB on IFRS taxonomy.

Apart from working as a professional, in spare time, Charles has a fond interest in travelling and the latest technology. Serving as the Social Media Director of the Hong Kong Alumni Chapter, he will be happy to help Bath Alumni to share their inspiring ideas and news.
