The University recently hosted two events in India for alumni - find out what happened and see the photos.

 

University of Bath alumni in India

  • Our first Indian alumnus was amongst the first class to graduate from the University in 1966
  • The India Chapter has sub-committees in both Delhi and Mumbai - find out more on the India Chapter webpage
  • There are currently over 400 alumni living in India, primary in Delhi
  • Approximately 175 Indian students currently study at the University of Bath so this number is set to grow!

Faculty of Engineering & Design

Faculty of Science

  • The University's MSc in Industrial Biotechnology & Enterprise is a collaborative project with St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai
  • Course is taught in both UK and India, and includes industrial placement
  • Funded by the UK-India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI), the course helps to bridge the gap between industry and higher education

Faculty of Humanities & Social Science

School of Management

  • There is an ever growing number of Indian students studying at the School, and there are scholarships available for MSc students
  • The Bath India Economic Forum ran from 2006-9. It was a student-led annual event with the aim to educate students and business people in the UK about the changing Indian economy and the range of opportunities that are being created to do business with India
  • Distinguished guest speakers have included Sunil Bharti Mittal, Founder and Group CEO, Bharti Enterprises
