Business

We have worked for many years with private and public-sector organisations in a variety of ways.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Our postgraduate programme units are available as CPD, enabling employers to target the areas of particular interest to them.

Credits from successfully completed units can be used to build towards a postgraduate qualification at a later stage. Find out more »

Research and consultancy

We offer research and consultancy in areas such as:

  • Macroeconomics
  • Environmental economics
  • Incentives and governance
  • Development economics
  • Finance and financial markets

Presentations, seminars and tailored short courses

We can deliver presentations and seminars to address an issue of specific interest to the organisation (either updating existing knowledge or exploring new areas of interest).

Specialist short courses can also be delivered to a larger audience.

We also offer tailor-made Programmes for MSc in Economics with specialist routes, for the Public and Private Sector

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs)

Our academic and research structure, combined with our considerable knowledge base, can be used in partnership with businesses and other organisations to advance their requirements.

Collaborative (CASE) PhD Research Awards

We invite organisations to become involved with Collaborative (CASE) PhD Research Awards.

These awards are for research students to carry out projects in collaboration with companies/business. They provide organisations with a means to become involved with research activities and they provide PhD students with the opportunity to gain experience of work outside an academic environment.

An academic supervisor and a company supervisor support students. They are usually known as CASE (Collaborative Awards in Science and Engineering).
