National Student Survey 2012

Student Engagement, Feedback and Surveys

The University of Bath recognises that students are the major stakeholder in higher education and as a consequence, engaging with students and collecting feedback from them on their experiences is a key part of the quality management process.

At the national level, the introduction of the National Student Survey (final year undergraduates) demonstrates the commitment of the higher education community to listen to the ’student voice’.

Locally, the introduction of the Online Unit Evaluation system and the important representative role of Staff Student Liaison Committee together with the Student’s Union at at institutional level shows the clear role of feedback and representation in the quality enhancement and improvement agenda at the University of Bath.

The summary results of the recent internal and sector-wide surveys have recently been dated to this site:

You will also find the results of previous waves of the following surveys:

Finally, the latest enhancement to the University’s feedback system, the development of the Online Unit Evaluation system is outlined and explored.

If you have any questions or comments about the sector-wide National Student Survey, the University's Strategy for the Surveying of Students or the Protocol on the Surveying of Students, please contact Shaun McGall, Learning and Teaching Development Officer (s.a.mcgall@bath.ac.uk (01225) 38 3848).
