Postgraduate surveys
About the surveys
The Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) and the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) are coordinated nationally by the Higher Education Academy.
These bi-annual surveys give postgraduate students the opportunity to comment on what they liked and did not like about their student learning experience during their time in higher education.
How do we use the results at the University of Bath?
Student feedback from the PTES and PRES is used to compile bi-annual comparative data that helps the University and Students' Union facilitate best practice and enhance learning and teaching.
The responses from our students help us find areas where the overall student experience could be improved. Using this information, every academic department works closely with its student representatives from the Staff Student Liaison Committee (SSLC) to develop an action plan to improve the student experience.
