Careers information for prospective students

Find out more about the careers support at Bath and sources of information to help you choose a course.

Why choose Bath

There is a strong demand for Bath graduates from employers, including multinationals and prestigious organisations of all sizes.

The vocational bias of many of the courses, the industrial links, the integrated periods of industrial training and the calibre of the students all contribute towards this.

What Bath graduates do

Each year we survey our graduates to find out what they do in their first year after leaving the University. You can see this information online for first degree graduates.

Choosing and applying for a course

The University's courses pages provide full details of courses, applications and student life at Bath. You can contact admissions staff with enquiries. Their contact details can be found on the University's contact page. Admissions staff can also refer you to staff in academic departments as needed, for example with queries related to course content.

For one-to-one advice about choosing and applying for a course:

  • School or college students should ask what support is available at their current institution, and see GOV.UK for the careers helpline for teenagers and information on the National Careers Service.
  • If you are already a University of Bath student or graduate you should contact us.
  • Students or graduates from other universities should contact their own university's careers service.
