Alongside the British Council and the GREAT Britain campaign, we're offering four scholarships to master's students studying our full time, taught programmes.

About GREAT Scholarships

The University of Bath is offering four scholarships to international students applying for eligible postgraduate taught courses for September 2026.

In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, we are offering four scholarships to students in Nigeria, Pakistan, Greece and Spain applying for eligible one-year postgraduate taught courses.

The GREAT Scholarships 2026 programme, launched by the British Council together with over 60 UK universities, supports postgraduate students from 18 countries to access world-class UK higher education opportunities. It offers an exciting opportunity for students from these countries to get financial support to pursue postgraduate study in the UK. The scholarship programme offers awards of a minimum of £10,000 to students pursuing one-year postgraduate study in the UK.

Funding available

  • 1 x £15,000 scholarship for students from Nigeria
  • 1 x £10,000 scholarship for students from Pakistan
  • 1 x £10,000 scholarship for students from Greece
  • 1 x £10,000 scholarship for students from Spain

The GREAT Scholarships are available for courses across the Faculty of Engineering & Design, Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences, Faculty of Science and School of Management*.

Awards are available for full-time, postgraduate taught master's courses* and can only be used as fee waivers towards the cost of tuition fees.


Eligibility criteria

To apply for a GREAT scholarship, you must:

  • hold an offer from the University of Bath for a full-time, postgraduate taught master's course* starting in September 2026
  • be a permanent resident and passport holder of Nigeria, Pakistan, Greece or Spain
  • have international tuition fee status

We're looking for outstanding candidates with a background of academic success who have work experience or a proven interest in their proposed subject area.
