Natural Sciences students must take units totaling 60 credits in each programme year, usually comprising five blocks of 12 credits each, although some final year projects are worth 18 or 24 credits. Students must choose a major subject stream to follow and must take two blocks of units in this major subject each year. - Biochemistry project unit BB30042 in either S1 or S2. Students taking BB30042 in S1 must take either BB30161 or BB30067 in S2 (subject to pre-requisites); students taking BB30042 in S2 must take either BB30044 or BB30045 in S1 (subject to pre-requisites)
- 12 credits in each semester from Pharmacology block Pc3
- Students may take a maximum of 12 credits of Chemistry, Mathematics, or non-science options in place of one Pharmacology block (subject to pre-requisites).
- Director of Studies approved option allowed: Students may be permitted to take Director of Studies approved units as an alternative to a maximum of 12 credits during this programme year.
