Student Voice Co-ordinator

Are you looking for a vibrant and flexible role with amazing benefits? The Student Voice Co-ordinator role is exactly that.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about student voice, diversity, and the representation of international students. We are looking for applicants with experience of working with a diverse range of students in Higher Education, and a fantastic understanding of the principles of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, who has passion and creativity in relation to student representation and engagement. You will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines and work effectively within a team. You will also have a strong appreciation for the value of change-making campaigns and the importance of democracy in a member-led organisation.

As Student Voice Co-ordinator within the Students' Union, you will provide a range of advice and support to empower and inform students, representatives, Officers, and staff to successfully deliver change through representational activities. This may take the form of providing briefings, writing reports, undertaking or analysing research, providing training or support for effective communications. This role coordinates and delivers a range of engagement activities to gather the views of international students, and students from under-represented backgrounds. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with students while supporting the co-ordination of key events, activities, and communications that will help shape the direction of The SU.

This role is within the Voice team of The SU, which means you will work closely with student representatives to champion the voices of diverse ranges of students, with an aim to positively impact the student experience for students from all backgrounds - making the University a more inclusive place. Being a staff member as part of the Voice team is an exciting, dynamic, and uniquely rewarding experience.

Overall, life in the Students’ Union is busy, but fun, and you’ll be surrounded by a team of committed and ambitious people. We’re a chatty, welcoming, inclusive bunch, and know how to have fun. More than 'just a job’, this is a chance to shape our organisation and the lives of the students we represent. As a charity, we offer a generous package including substantial holiday entitlement (31 days plus bank holidays).

This is a full-time role which offers the chance to work both in the office and at home.

For an informal discussion about the role please contact Ben Palmer, Change & Inclusion Manager (bjp42@bath.ac.uk), however, please submit your application via the University website.
