We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our Student Finance Team as a Student Finance Administrator.

You will have responsibility for the financial administration of The University’s postgraduate taught bursary schemes; interaction with the Student Loans Company (SLC) in respect of postgraduate loans; investigating and processing all postgraduate and departmental refunds to students and sponsors; identifying and processing adjustments to student fees resulting from changes in student circumstance and the accurate invoicing of visiting postgraduate research scholars.

You should have previous experience of working in a busy office environment in an administrative role. Attention to detail is important, as is the ability to manage a busy workload with conflicting priorities. You will need to work closely with other team members, academic colleagues, outside agencies and students from across the world, so effective communication skills are essential. You should have good computer skills, with a proficiency in Word and Excel and the ability to learn use of database systems.

Experience in the use of University-specific software (SAMIS/SITS and Business Objects) is desirable though not essential. Most important is an interest in our work and a willingness to become fully involved in the team.

For an informal discussion about the role please contact Ellie Timms, Student Finance Manager (adsert@bath.ac.uk), however, please submit your application via the University website.
